Position Summary: This Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for utilizing lean principles to perform in-depth analysis of current and future logistics programs to optimize material and logistics strategies driving continuous improvement processes and cost savings in order to support and fulfill the requirements of internal and external customers across the North American region (RN).
o Perform analyses using Microsoft® Access and Excel in order to drive corporate initiatives, decision-making processes and cost savings and corporate compliance programs.
o Develop mathematical models, methods, and tools to analyze logistics strategies and cost savings initiatives using Lean Logistics principles.
o Design and optimize the North American network for domestic and international logistics.
o Analyze, develop, and propose logistics strategies to ZF plants to realize cost savings.
o Analysis of logistics data to determine most efficient route design.
o Develop and manage change process to implement cost savings strategies with Lead Logistics Providers, Material Planners, Suppliers, and Corporate Logistics Specialists
o Develop and manage "Plan for Every Part" database and change management process.
o Heavily involved in inventory management and reduction activities.
o Coordination and implementation of new logistics processes and providers to support ZF North American locations.
o Assist Purchasing, Finance, and Sales departments in developing pricing proposals.
o Prepare charts, graphs, and summarize data for internal and external customers.
o Participate in continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts
o Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
o On-site audits and operational involvement as necessary to achieve targets.
o Achieve overall logistics cost savings goals.
o Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
o Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
o 4-5+ years of experience with analyzing and interpreting data and supply chain-related processes
o Working knowledge of corporate logistics procedures/processes
o Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
o Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
o Ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
o Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
o Solid organization and time/project management skills
o Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills and experience:
o Knowledge of SAP
o Experience in the Automotive industry
o German and/or Spanish language skills
