Zurich NorthAmerica is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join our Internal Audit teamlocated in Schaumburg. Group Audit North America is part of the globalGroup Audit function, which reports in to the Group Audit Committee. We are seeking a seasoned audit professionalthat has a technical auditing background in risk and control functions, andwill bring strong business acumen as well as a desire to be part of a cultureof continuous learning and improvement. Throughthe variety of businesses and functions that make up Zurich North America, youwill be afforded diverse audit engagement opportunities in the world of riskand insurance, and have exposure to all levels of management and theorganization. You may also have the opportunity to participate in globalaudits and interact with leaders and team members from other countries.
+ Lead team-oriented as well as independent risk-based audit activities designedto identify business risks and evaluate the effectiveness of governance, riskmanagement, and control processes
+ Performadvanced fieldwork activities, including inquiry of clients, inspection ofrecords and documents, and observations and re-performance of complex controlprocedures
+ Incorporateuse of data analytics to improve effectiveness and efficiency of audit
+ Communicateaudit results to business line management, and perform appropriate follow-up tasks
+ Preparedrafts of audit findings, analyze basic control gaps and root causes toformulate potential remediation actions
Nominalbusiness travel may be required.
+ 6 or moreyears of experience in finance, accounting or audit (financial, operational,compliance) area or a combination of each
+ MBA or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
+ CIA, CPA,CFE, CPCU, AINS, AIC
+ 4 or moreyears' experience in the insurance area including knowledge of insurancebusiness processes and processing
+ Knowledge and understanding of P&C insurance and itsoperations through diverse experience from business disciplines such as claims,underwriting, compliance, risk management and quality assurance
+ Experiencein a financial services organization
+ Experiencein a large public accounting firm
+ Experiencein financial audits for financial service companies, ideally within theProperty and Casualty insurance sector
+ Strongverbal and written communication skills
+ Ability tocompile and write audit reports
+ Self-motivated;work well in team environment as well as independently
+ Ability tomanage multiple priorities, establish and meet deadlines
