**Senior Executive Assistant - Alternative Markets**


Zurich is currently looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support our Head of Direct Markets & Programs Strategic Services within our Alternative Markets business unite.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will provide high level administrative support and require a broad base of experience, skills and knowledge of organizational policies and practices. In this role, they will be responsible for advanced administrative support for Senior Management and other Executives while under general supervision.

Requires continuous use of technical and business vocabulary and the ability to retain a detailed knowledge of company operations, organizational procedures, and personnel. Relieves senior leader(s) of some administrative detail and makes decisions regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work within established guidelines.

This self-starter will provide a wide variety of administrative and staff support services to the organizational unit. May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities and operations. These activities could include, but not limited to managing executive calendars, organizing travel, handling calls and emails, organizing meetings and negotiating with outside vendors.

Applies technical skills appropriate for the position within assigned functional area to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Duties and tasks are varied and may be somewhat complex. Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.

NOTE: This position may sit in Overland Park, KS or Schaumburg, IL

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree and No prior experience required in the Administrative area


* Associate Degree and No prior experience required in the Administrative area


* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Administrative area


* Microsoft Office experience

* Experience planning, organizing and scheduling work for Senior Level Executives

Preferred Qualifications:


* Knowledge of company operations, and organizational procedures

* Administrative experience in a multi-tasked, high-paced, confidential environment

* Ability to prioritize

* Ability to multi-task

* Strong verbal and written communication skills
