**Internal Audit Manager**


Zurich in North America is seeking an Audit Manager to join our Schaumburg team and be part of our global Internal Audit organization. You will apply a risk based audit approach to a portfolio of local and global audit projects that are operational, strategic and financial in nature. As Audit Manager, you will plan audits from design through execution and report on results and findings. You will also coordinate the audit timelines and sets reasonable expectations with the business and internal audit portfolio managers.

Initially, it is expected that you will focus primarily on our General Insurance operations in North America, including operational roles in underwriting, claims, finance, and certain investment operations. However, this opportunity offers long term growth and development not only of your technical auditing skill set, but broader knowledge of both the P&C and life insurance industry as well. As part of the audit cycle, you will have exposure to, and interact with, senior level executives and key stakeholders in the business. It is expected that you may also play a role in developing the audit plan and in assisting in developing various communications for use in reporting to local senior management. You may also have the opportunity to participate in global audits and interact with leaders and team members from other countries.

You should be willing and able to travel nationally approximately 10-25%.

Basic Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree

+ 6 or more years of experience that includes financial, operational or compliance audits

+ Willing and able to travel approximately 10-25% nationally

Preferred Qualifications:

+ MBA or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance


+ Auditing experience in the P&C insurance industry

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well

+ Ability to present information to technical and non-technical audiences

+ Project management skills

+ Ability to work cross functionally as well as across all levels of the organization

+ Negotiation skills
